December 29th 2015

My sister and her husband had their anniversary while we were out in Maryland. They went on a day long date to a friends wedding and left their kiddos with us. So we researched some fun stuff in do in the area for kids. We found this neat little farm in Maryland near the Delaware border.
Breydon and Brian checking out the goats.
Aunt Bubba helping Adleigh and Catherine to feed the goats.

Adleigh was in hog heaven! She needs to live on a farm.

The goats had a neat play area with lots of things for them to climb on. This section you can send food up to them on a conveyer belt.

Russell had fun trying to catch the chicken in his massive coat.

Aaron the goat whisperer.

Grandpa Russell was a great food holder for the toddlers.

Adleigh decided she needed to chase the chicken too.

There was also a pot bellied pig you could feed! Normally there are more animals around to pet like bunnies, horses and cows but we were there in the very off-season. Normally they are closed in December  but since it was unusually warm they kept the petting area open.

Brendan really liked snacking on the fresh apples, crackers and cheese curds we bought in their shop. Delicious!

They also have a fun play area full of cool wooden things for the kids to play on. There was also a tractor, airplane, a cabin, and a few other random wooden structures. They also had a massive sand pit that the kids spent quite a while in but I failed to take any pictures there.
Group shot! In the fall they let you go and pick apples and I definitely want to go back for that.

  1. Still sad that Philadelphia didn't work out since you were so close, but now we can all say that we've been to Delaware!
