All Creatures Great & Small
3:04 PMWe are enjoying our time here in Texas!
Brian and I have collected a mini farm here, with our goats, calves, dogs and horses!
Now we are adding another addition to the farm... Well additions would be the best word!
We got baby chicks! Lots of them!
I'm trying to convince my mother-in-law to sell the eggs. You can get $5 a dozen at the farmers market!
Aren't they cute!?!
The plan is to have about 60 chickens and we are currently in the process of adding an extension to the chicken house.
Personally I like chickens cuz they eat the bugs, the mice and the snakes! So I can't wait for them to grow up!
Also, the other day my father-in-law and I headed to Harper to pick up Brian from work. We brought Dude and Roxy with us.
As we were leaving, Brian's super super old dog Bear, was siting next to the truck with sad eyes... So I convinced Rick to pick him up and bring him too!
He was very excited and was able to stand out the side of the truck bed the whole ride.
What a happy Bear dog :-)
On the way back from Harper, we had a little adventure. Rick spotted an armadillo in the road and bet Brian that he could catch it... To save it from getting run over... Of course. :-)
So Rick pulled over and ran after it.
He caught it!
Brian held it.
They made me hold it...
And then we introduced it to the doggies!
Dude and Roxy were very excited and interested!
Bear was not amused... :-) he just wanted to be driving!
We were gonna take it back to the house to show our nieces and nephew so we put it in the truck bed if our friends truck. But that thing almost jumped out!
So we set him free! See ya later armadillo. :-)
PS. Happy Birthday to my lovely Mommy! Love you!
