While we were in Fredericksburg Breydon got really sick. He had a high fever, runny nose, red eyes and a nasty rash. Breydon has been sick before but I had never seen him this miserable. He wouldn't sleep unless I was holding the poor kid. I waited a few days to see if it was some crazy virus but after 4 days of a high fever I took him to his pediatrician. 

His doctor couldn't figure out what the heck was wrong with the poor kid. He probably felt pretty abused after that appointment. They checked his nose, throat, and ears several times. The worst was they did a catheter on the poor guy to get a clean urine sample. It took like 15 minutes and he was miserable. After ruling out most of the common stuff the Doctor decided to send us to the hospital for more extensive testing. 

I called Brian up because there was no way I was going to the hospital by myself with two kids! I picked him up from work and off we went. The hospital ran some more tests, took some blood samples and then had him go for an x-ray. X-rays are the worst for babies. They have to strap them down really well so that they don't move. Pretty sure he was traumatized.

The worst part about all this is they never figured out what was wrong with him. All his tests came back negative so it must have been a crazy long lasting virus. :-(
