March 14, 2015

There are golf carts all over Port A so we decided to finally rent one this trip. The kids all loved driving around in it. We sure crammed as many people as possible on it.

Walked out on the jetty to check out the fishing report again. Papaw and Kaleb went all the way to the end but we didn't make it that far.

Spoiled children who didn't have to walk. lol.

Family photo on the jetty. Brian's sunburned knees are hilarious.

Cute Squeaks on the jetty.

Adleigh loves her cousin MacKenzie and MacKenzie is very good with Adleigh.

We had to take all the cousins to get eaten by the shark. Adleigh was a little less scared of the shark this time.

Adleigh got to ride around with Mamaw while we drove the truck since we didn't all fit.

Brian tried forever to get this dang kite to work, pretty sure something was broken. Luckily a nice lady had an extra kite that she let the kids use.

Adleigh making sand castles. She was content to sit on the beach and shovel sand all day.

Playing with the Squeaks.

Family beach shot.

Daddy playing with the Squeaks.

A beautiful candid glamour shot of us all.

Brian took Adleigh down to the water... She loved it at first but then he got her too wet and she was no longer happy. Lol.

And obviously someone had to get buried. It is not a beach trip unless someone is fully covered in sand. Luckily Kaleb was a good sport and let us cover him.

A cool watering can that Adleigh really enjoyed playing with.

She put the hat on backwards on herself and she looked adorable.

Sadly we had to take the golf cart back. We had lots of fun driving it though!

So March is a big birthday month for the Weirich's. Brian and two of his brother's have birthdays and two Weirich grand kids are in March as well. So we had a big birthday celebration our last night there.

It was Matt's actual birthday that day. I think he turned 32...

Ian's Birthday was the day that they came to the coast. He turned 2!

Matt's girlfriend had a birthday the next day.

And my man had a birthday the next week. Turned the big 29!

That night they all went to the beach and had a bonfire celebration. Adleigh was exhausted so she went to bed and I stayed back with her. I took a nice long bath in the soaker tub trying to get my ankles back from the cankles that had overtaken them. :-)

The next day we pretty much just packed up and made the ridiculously long drive home. Next time we know not to try and drive home on the last day of Spring Break. It took an extra 2 hours to get home. Adleigh was not a happy camper... course neither were Brian or I. Lesson learned!
