Breydon Turns 18 Months!

How is it that our little tiny dude is 18 months old!?! I remember thinking how old Adleigh was when she turned 18 months and with Breydon it is totally the opposite! He is still my little baby and can't possibly be going to nursery. This is probably due to the fact that he still only has 6 teeth and still weighs about what he weighed when he was 10 months old. Oh and still frequently wakes up a few times at night... But he is so adorable so we love him anyway.

The day Breydon turned 18 months was actually a rough day for him. It was voting day here in America, by the time we got done voting my Grandma Jan had come to our house to deliver a cedar chest. When she left it was way past his nap time. We decided to skip the nap so he would still go to bed at a normal hour. Boy was that a bad decision, he was super cranky the rest of the day until bedtime. Then we was all charms and smiles. I tried to take some official 18 month photos but he wouldn't stay still for them.

You want me to smile? I'll smile when you don't make me miss my nap!

A Bit About Breydon:

Loves pacifiers, Breydon has a few friends his age that have pacifiers. He kept stealing them whenever we would be around them. Finally we caved and got him his own. What kind of child decides to like pacifiers when they are over a year old? Now he is obsessed!

Still taking a two hour nap everyday, generally around noon.

Still hates the car seat, does not like to be restrained!

Mommy finally stopped nursing him and he was not happy about it. He still tries to nurse all the time.

Loves to have his shoes on, will bring them to you if he wants to go outside.

Loves playing in the dirt. I will frequently find that he has slipped outside and is happily playing in the garden dirt.

Makes an uhh (like uhh uh) noise when he is mad at you.

Also gives you the cold shoulder when mad. He backs away slowly and won't look at you. Also does this if he doesn't want what you are trying to hand him.

Loves to climb up things, specifically up the toilet to get to the sink and play in the water. I can't leave the lid to the toilet up because then he plays in the toilet water, but if I leave it down then he can get to the sink. So fun!

Will purposely do stuff to make you laugh.

Likes to rub lotion on his pants whenever you give him some on his hands.

Hates having his clothes and diaper changed.

Mamma's boy all the way except right when Brian gets home from work.

Loves the kitties kitties and the chickens.

Likes to watch home videos and videos of animals.

Has the craziest cow licks on the back of his head. His hair stands straight up just in the back, like a fan version of Alfalfa. We are growing his hair out to help tame them down.

Likes to shake his head no. Starting to also say uh uh when shaking his head.

Can nod yes but rarely does.

Is not a fan of Nursery. We have been taking him in for visits since he was 16 months old. He is perfectly fine when we are in there but freaks when he notices we have gone.

Signs: please, more, all done, love you, bye bye

Foods: yogurt, cheese, bananas, suckers, yogurt drops, grapes. Not a huge vegetable fan unless I am eating them and then he will eat them.

Books: No real favorite book, just loves them all. He brings me books and plops down in my lap all the time.
