Tucson has a tiny little zoo called Reid Park Zoo that we used to go visit all the time as kids. We decided to escape the house again and take the kids to see all the animals. We also dragged my Mikesell Grandparent along for the trip.

This little cutie is the star of the Reid Park Zoo. She is only a few month old! We had lots of fun just watching her run around. Jack Hanna was also there when we were with the elephants but I am not the type who likes to bother famous people with pictures. :-)

Mommy and Adleigh with the elephant.

We also got to feed the giraffes some carrots. Despite being an animal lover; Adleigh was very against feeding the giraffe! So I got to do it for her.

Adleigh's second favorite part of the zoo was the duck pond. She could have stayed her all day if we had let her!

Watching her cousins feed the ducks.

She decided she needed to join in on the duck feeding fun. Yes, we were illegally feeding the ducks goldfish crackers... but it was so much fun.

Adleigh stalking Catherine yet again. Luckily Catherine put up with her.

This was Adleigh's favorite part of the zoo. This tiger was pacing back and forth for almost 30 minutes.

Luckily we were pretty much done with the zoo when she discovered the tiger. I tried to take her to see some of the other exhibits in that area but whenever we left she just kept asking about the kitty kitty. So we stayed there while everyone else went and explored the rest of the Asian animals.

And the obligatory Reid Park Zoo photo! We missed taking a group photo though :-(. PS. The thing she is holding in her hand is a mini tiger toy that she picked out at the gift shop. Definitely obsessed!

  1. Next time we'll get to the South American section also. Adleigh would love the jaguar!
