For our 4th anniversary we drove out to Fredericksburg. Yup aren't we romantic! Brian only got a few days off for Christmas and I wanted him to have more time with his family.

Reminding Adleigh that she is still a farm girl despite living in the city for a bit.

Obviously we have some work to do!

She wanted us to catch one but not bring it near her... silly girl! By the end of the trip she was fine with them again.

Ian and Adleigh kept fighting over these chairs... Basically they fought over everything. Ian is the youngest of 4 so he is used to having to take what he wants and Adleigh really stinks at sharing.

Brian's brother Chris & his wife Jessica have the same Anniversary day with us. So Brian's parents were nice enough to babysit the kiddos  so we could go o a double date. We went to a fabulous burger joint on Main Street. The burgers were gourmet and huge!

After dinner we walked along Main Street which is famous for it's shopping.

Chris & Jessica.

Adleigh with Chris's kids. She loves being spoiled by the oldest two girl.

The dogs love visiting Roxy!

Cousin dancing time.

Mamaw has a huge tub that the kids were constantly asking to bath in.

Adleigh on Christmas Sunday.

After church we drove by the Bed & Breakfast that has a lot of exotic animals. Adleigh was a big fan!

Brian gave me permission to buy material to make a quilt for our bed. So we had a girls day shopping for fabric. Adleigh loved leading Mamaw around everywhere.

Adleigh is a true shopper and insisted on carrying the bag.

We didn't do a gift exchange this year so a few of us girls decided to go out and get pedicures. Poor Jessica got there before us and got bullied into getting hers started before we go there.

The whole group. Left to right is Brenda (Brian's mom) , Kim (Brian's sister), Sarah (married to Brian's brother Josh), me, and then Jessica.

Enjoying our pampering.

All of our pretty toes! I think we should never do gifts and always get pedicures!

  1. Glad you have family close (ish) to have so much fun with! That baby goat is darling :) I would also vote for a girls pedicure group outing instead of gifts.
