So long story short; our neighbors called Animal Control on us for our chickens being "too loud" while Animal Control was here I asked them if they had a grey young cat in their possession. Sky had been missing for a few days, I figured she had just ran off with the tom cat that had been frequenting our house. Turns out they had her, someone had caught her and turn her in because she would sit in their window and try to eat their bird (which makes no sense because she would hang out with our baby chicks all the time!). I had to go pay way too much money to set her free and then was told our city has a rule that cats are not allowed to leave their yard??? Right... because cats are so easy to contain. Basically they would have to become indoor cats because if they got caught again it would be a $500 fine. My cousin who lives on a farm in Utah offered to take them to help with their mice problem.
Driving to Utah. Can you see Bolt in the cage freaking out? They were not happy about being in the car. |
Penny was happy because the cats road in her kennel so she got to party in the front with me. |
Bear Lake was gorgeous when we drove by. If I didn't have the cats I would have stopped and let the kids play. |
Logan Canyon was gorgeous too! So green! And the river was flowing like crazy. |
When we dropped the cats off at Amber's, Aunt Pam was there and took the kids out to play in the canal. |
Rock throwing is the best way to play in the water. |
Mostly Breydon just came over and handed me rocks, I ended up with quite the collection from him. |
Saying goodbye to Bolt. |
Sky checking out her new surroundings. |
Feeding Rhino some good bye treats, hoping they would stick around permanently since food was there. Rhino and Sky have so far, Bolt took off. Not surprised. |
Breydon and Jack sharing their love of hose drinking. |

Cats have a great home, and you have a great excuse to go visit Amber! What a paradise for kids and cats!
