Maryland Part 6 ~ Amish Country, PA

Aug 28th - 30th 2015

On a day that Jon had off from work, we loaded up and drove over into Pennsylvania to go visit Amish Country. The area is full of beautiful farm houses and so green!

The main reason we went was so we could eat at the Shady Maples Smorgasbord. It is a large buffet style restaurant that is run by the local Mennonites. Not sure why Adleigh was so cranky in this picture. She was pretty happy about sitting in the cool high chair that had wheels.

Poor Jon was the only adult male with our large party of woman and children. The hostess definitely thought we were Mormon polygamists, HA!

Adleigh enjoyed running around like a crazy person and totally licked this sign... She is nuts!

Below the restaurant was a huge gift shop and Adleigh enjoyed sitting in the space shuttle. She also got to pick out something fun from the gift shop. She picked little plastic toys; a horse, a cow and a shark.

Everyone else headed back to go pick up Seth. My mom got stuck taking me and the kiddos back. We let Adleigh run around for a little while before sticking her back in the car. We found these alpacas and hung out with them for a little bit.

After a LONG drive home (Adleigh decided to scream at a sleeping Breydon, he woke up, she fell asleep, and he screamed the rest of the ride home) the kids were excited to just lounge around.
