Grandpa Bud
1:04 PMAfter a long fight with a rare form of blood cancer my Grandpa Bud passed away at home.
This was not unexpected as he had made the decision to go on hospice however he did pass extremely quickly once on hospice. We were told about 10 days but he went in 3. Very quick but if it had been me I'd probably have preferred to go that quick as well.
Luckily Brian and I had been able to go out over Thanksgiving and see him one last time. I am very grateful for this.
I also was able to fly up to Utah for his funeral. Brian stayed home to take care of the 8 zillion animals we currently have at our house :-)
Here are some picture highlights.
The posters and scrapbook I made.
One of his flower arrangements that I was in love with. I even took a flower and pressed it.
Grandpa served as a Sargent in the Korean War.
His casket
The beautiful view from his gravesite!
Grandpa, you were the man I took my first steps to. And the person who made it possible for me to go to college with minimal student loans. You also took me on so many vacations, helped me buy my first car and chauffeured me anywhere I needed to go. I could say much more! Love you grandpa!!!!!!!
