Fun Stuff
9:23 AMI have a bunch of posts that I've started so I'm just going to a big old post!
We finally finished our chicken coop! We designed it ourselves :-) This picture is the only one I have but we now have it raised up 2 feet off the ground to keep hungry animals out.
We had lots of animals helpers, Nike was very helpful :-)
Here is a picture of the inside. We built 8 laying boxes and a nice
roosting area. Our 6 chickens and 5 guineas (yesterday it was 6 but we had an unfortunate incident with a hawk :-( )
Brian's Great Uncle Kenny finally ended his fight with leukemia. So we drove down to Houston for the funeral. It was very sad but we were glad to see everyone.
Brian got to introduce me to his Great Grandma who is about 96 years old and just barely moved into an assisted living home! They call her Little Grandma because she is about 4'11".
While in Houston we also stopped by Jake and Sabra's and got to celebrate the first birthday of this little cutie!
We helped them put on their extravagant ward party called A Night in Bethlehem. They put up a false ceiling, a life sized nativity and even served pita bread!
Hannah enjoyed taking down the false ceiling. Since my feet were swollen, I was given the job to sit and play with Hannah... Poor me ;-)
For our anniversary we went to Red Lobster which is a place we ate on our honeymoon. Conveniently my mom had just sent us a gift card there! Thanks Mom!
Brian's present from me was a lovely candy letter! He got me two plants, a begonia and a mini live Christmas tree. I forgot to take a picture... But I LOVE live plants! Getting flowers is great but they die whereas plants live (hopefully) and then you can always remember the day you got them.
Our BIG anniversary/Christmas gift to ourselves is a freaking awesome MacBook Pro!!! Our friend Emily decided she wanted an iMac so let us buy hers for a great price. Brian has been talking about buying a MacBook for years and I'm glad we could finally do it.
Baby Girl Weirich got to have lots more pictures taken of her! I came home with about 12 pictures!
To me this looks like she is sucking her thumb! I guess she is my child... :-) The GREAT news is that fluid bags fused and everything should be fine with her! PS. I did have her check to make sure she was for sure a "she". I was paranoid I would be buying all this pink stuff and then she would come out a he!
I thought this picture was hilarious! The picture is dark but that is Camo in one arm and Molly in the other! Spoiled dogs!
Our friends Tua and Chelsie and their two daughters came down to visit our little farm yesterday. Their daughters are animals/horse fanatics! Brian enjoyed taking them around on Rebel.
We also had a baby boy goat join our family this morning. We were expecting more than one because his mom, LuLu, is very round but nope, only one! We must be feeding her too well. No name yet, I'm going to wait until I see him all dried.
Now we are driving to Fredericksburg for Christmas Eve with the Weirich Clan. This cute face is getting ready to go back to her own house... So sad!
