Valentines Day
10:24 AMSince Valentine's Day is two days before my birthday we usually do a trip to celebrate both. Our last two celebrations were spent on trips to New York and Sedona. We were planning on doing another trip this year but my OB veto'd that idea. So this year we stayed in Texas for Valentines.
Lucky for us Brian's Dad had a meeting in Dallas on Valentines. So they came up the night before so Brian's mom could spend the day with us. We went and visited Brian at his job and I brought all his co-workers some cookies and candy.
Brian got off work really early that day which was AWESOME! We weren't supposed to do gifts... But he disobeyed and got me some yummy chocolate covered strawberries and a beautiful pink gerbera daisy plant! I made him a heating/cooling pad for his back.
We had been babysitting Brian's parents goats since Christmas. They decided to take them back to Fredericksburg. So we loaded them up in the trailer before we left to go eat dinner. Camo was NOT HAPPY that we were taking his friends.
He has a crazy obsession with the baby goats and one of the babies would even let Camo lick him. We had to lock Camo in the house when we left for dinner because he was trying to follow the trailer down the road.
For our Valentines dinner we drove behind Brian's parent to Waco. This got them more than an hour closer to their home.
We ate at Texas Roadhouse. They don't do reservations but have a call ahead list. We called when we left our house which was a great idea. There was a big line of people just to put your name in for a table and at least a hundred people waiting for a table. Since we had called so far ahead we only had a ten minute wait compared to the 95+ minute wait like everyone else. We definitely got some glares when we were called to our table :-)
The food was amazing as usual and it was great getting to spend time with Brian's parents. It's been really weird for us to go from seeing them everyday to now seeing them about every six weeks.
Overall it was a nice family day for us. I'm lucky that I married such an amazing man! Love you!
