Ever had one of those weekends, where the dream you have devoted your whole life to, finally came true?

Well Brian (and pretty much me as well) had just that weekend!

Brian and his Distance Medley Relay team won the Track & Field National Championship!!!!!!!!!!!

This is like the Superbowl of track people! He even gets a massive diamond incrusted ring like the Superbowl. :-)

The boys right after they won!

They came in ranked to take 6th but they knew they could do better. Brian ran the first part (leg) which is a 1200m. Next was Chris Carter who ran the 400m leg. Then third was Justin Heidin running the 800m. The anchor leg was Miles Batty who ran the mile.

It was a very competitive race since it was the top 12 teams in the nation competing. Brian left with some nice spike wounds in his shins and Chris pulled a muscle on his first 200m but ran through the pain and finished.

Brian family was there, along with some coaches from high school so we had a massive cheering squad going on. Justin told us that he heard us chanting B Y U and it gave him a boost. :-)

The ending was insane! Miles wasn't leading until the last 50m. I was screaming so hard and kept screaming after they won. It was an amazing feeling! Brian's parents both lost their voices :-)

Leif, Brian, Justin, Chris & Miles

It was so fun to get to be there to watch Brian and the boys do so amazing. Miles also won a National Championship in the mile and our friend Leif won it in the shot put. Brian's brother got fifth in Pole Vault which is amazing considering he is a sophmore!

BYU also got to enjoying winning the title of 3rd best Team in the Nation! They got a massive trophy to prove it.

I'll post more pictures in the future :-).

Also here is the race!!!
