Off to Maryland We Go!

| We got really lucky and Brian's new job agreed to let us go on our long Christmas vacation that we already had planned. We had to obviously change our flights from leaving out of Dallas to leaving out of Salt Lake. It cost a bit extra because flights out of Dallas are awesomely cheap and flights out of Salt Lake are ridiculously cheap. Luckily some family members gave us some miles to make it not so expensive. Thanks guys! |

| The flight there was a direct flight (thank goodness) but 4 hours on a plane is still a long time for a busy little girl. Plus we had to leave for the airport at 4:30. We probably should have left earlier though! Checking luggage took forever because we had to do the long line thanks to having a lap baby. Security was nuts, which we didn't expect. The line went clear over into the luggage area and was about to go outside. Luckily Brian is an expert traveler and took us over to the other terminal which is just Delta flights but you can still get to the Southwest terminal. We made it through security with only a little delay due to Brian's massive pocket knife accidentally being hidden in my bag. We made it to the gate right as they were loading and collapsed on the plane. Brendan took a tiny nap and then spent the rest of the flight being passed back and forth. Adleigh spent most of the time watching the free Disney Channel. |

| After we landed we had a slightly longer drive than usual thanks to traffic but we finally made it to Megan's house! Breydon got to try on his "First Christmas" Santa hat that was much too small for his large head. |

| Adleigh was in heaven being back with her cousins! |

At least your flight out was less exciting than the return flight... I can hardly wait to read your blog about it. 'We are NEVER flying again'!
