December 6th 2015

Even though we were going to be in Maryland for Christmas we still had to have a tree. I can't get into the Christmas spirit unless I decorate a tree. Plus that fresh evergreen smell just can't be beat! So despite the fact that most of our house was still in boxes, we set up the living room for Christmas.

Finding the tree was a lot harder than we thought it would be. We knew the box stores would have some but we wanted to get one from one of those tree stands they normally set up in parking lots. Generally they have a better variety and are more fresh. Utah has tons of those places, Rock Springs has zero. :-l. So after hating the ones at Walmart and Home Depot we gave up. The next day we spent way too much money on one from Smiths that I didn't really love but whatever. we learned that you can get $10 permits and drive about an hour and cut one down... Next year!

Breydon was a big fan of the tree!

Helping check the lights.

Breydon was also a big fan of the balls of lights.

Adleigh requested a picture with the balls of lights as well. Yes... it was 20 degrees outside and my daughter was wearing a tank top and no pants. She dresses herself and also strips down at random. Then complains she is cold... go figure!

Adleigh taking the stocking title very literally.

Hank really liked the tree as well. It was a wonderful chew toy.

Helping to decorate the tree. I couldn't find most of my breakable ornaments which was probably a good thing.

The finished tree. Not the greatest picture.
My adorable children with the finished tree.

My adorable children with the finished tree taken with my awesome camera that I need to learn how to work. Maybe next year I will be better at Christmas tree pictures.
