Back in early November we went down with the William's (friends from church) to their property in Lufkin. The property is right near Angelina National Forest and was a beautiful location to camp.

We went on a walk around their property. Mostly Adleigh was on Daddy's shoulders... or being lifted up high. Sometimes she is a dare devil.
Their property is covered in Hickory trees and there were hickory nuts everywhere. Adleigh called them balls and enjoyed dumping them into various cups.
Later that day we went for a hike around Angelina National Forrest. This picture is actually in front of a river that you can rope swing into but the camera angle doesn't show the river.
Angelina N F also has a deep water spring that is constantly running with fresh water. Local people come and fill up jugs of water to use as drinking water. Adleigh loved playing in the water and even took a drink.
We spent two nights there and this is the last day. It is hard to tell since Adleigh wore the same jacket pretty much the whole time but changed pants several times each day. It was freezing in the mornings but in the 70's during the day!
Brother William's has an electric scooter that he uses to get around since he has bad knees. Adleigh LOVED riding it with Daddy and would cry whenever it ran out of juice and they had to recharge it.

Of course the guys wanted to shot some guns. Mostly we shot the pellet guns seen here, but we also had a 22, 4o and some huge gun that was very loud (Adleigh, Sis. Williams and I left before that one was shot but it was still very loud back at camp).
Adleigh was great at plugging her ears... even though she didn't really need to. The 22 wasn't loud and I plugged her ears during the 40. Even now she still randomly decides to plug her ears... 3 months later!
Also she discovered a love of hotdogs on this trip. She found a package in the cooler and insisted on eating one despite it being cold. Disgusting!
We got bored of shooting so we went for a walk and Sis. Williams helped Adleigh pick a bouquet of flowers. Only in Texas can you pick flowers in November. Adleigh wanted to give them to Daddy and held them all the way back to the truck!
We had tons of fun of the trip, it was a nice little vacation for us!
