Kaboom Town

Adleigh got this flag at the Fredericksburg parade last year. I tried to get a picture this year but someone wouldn't stay still long enough for a picture. Such is life with a toddler.
Kaboom town is in Addison, Tx. They do it on the 3rd of July which I think is pretty cool. Makes the 4th last even longer. Since it is so popular everyone recommends getting a hotel rather than fight traffic. The hotel also gave us two extra tickets for my mom and sister which was pretty cool.

Beth refused to take any pictures... Cuz she is super cool like that. Apparently the Chinese love for selfies didn't rub off on her while she was in China.
Adleigh thoroughly enjoyed the fair food. She single handedly devoured the funnel cake.
Enjoying the air show. It was accompanied by the Dallas Orchestra which was pretty awesome.

Towards dusk the airplanes started flying with fireworks on them. That was pretty neat.

The firework show was INSANE! This picture was taken with the light from the fireworks and not even the finale fireworks. The finale was crazy. Literally they shot off 50 fireworks in about 30 seconds.

Aren't they cute? (Even Beth :-) After the fireworks ended we walked back to the hotel and enjoyed watching all the people who drove sit in stand still traffic. It took 3 hours before all the traffic had cleared and we were peacefully sleeping! I highly recommend Kaboom Town. The tickets are free but limited so you have to get them early.

Probably my favorite fireworks displays with orchestra and airplane show! Fun night - glad you thought it (and the hotel!)
