Conference Weekend
11:25 AM
I've got a lot of blogging to catch up so I figure I'll start with our great time weekend spent listening to General Conference!
Our weekend had a lot of this...
And some of this...
Ok lots and lots of this! With 11 puppies in the house we are getting lots and lots of puppy time.
She is a big fan of the puppies and gets super excited when we let her play with them. She sometimes tries to eat them but seems to have stopped that due to one of the puppies starting to nurse on her lip when she put it up to her mouth. :-) Apparently she is ok eating them but it is not ok for them to eat her!
She also got lots of Camo time. He was very nice and kept her mostly entertained during conference! I was surprised how well she did... Normally I don't hear much of church because she requires lots of attention. But she was very self entertaining for the most part!
This has to be my favorite quote from conference. Brian and I always feel like we are the "white trash" out of all our family and friends. We live in a dump, our car is dependable but not new or stylish and most of our clothing comes of the clearance racks.
This quote reminds me that our greatest treasure is Miss Adleigh and our future family. And that buying books for her to learn from is more important than a better TV. Or accumulating a savings account so we will be able to keep her sheltered and fed in an emergency is more important than designer jeans. And, of course, paying our tithing to show her the importance of obedience rather than using it for a payment on a nice shiny truck.
This is another good one from that Saturday Session. Brian wrote on my notes from the Elder Oaks quote "our ultimate treasure on earth is our children and our HUSBAND." Which I found to be quite hilarious but very true! So this quote definitely fits! I very much need him in my life more than anything!

I love these two cuties! I know everyone feels general conference is aimed specifically at them but I definitely felt a strong theme of the importance of families. Brian and I definitely came away with a renewed vigor towards making our home a safe haven for Adleigh.
Oh and shockers of all shocks: the babes went to bed at 7:30! So I had time to work on an outfit for our Halloween excursion we are planning!
A cute little monster for my little monster! It sort of reminds me of the movie Monsters Vs Aliens. Of course I'm going to make a little bow for its head... Can't skimp on the girly ness!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
