Parades & Pumpkin Rolls
9:37 AMEach town in Texas has a Christmas light Parade. My father-in-law has a store in Marble Falls so we entered a float into the parade.
We built this whole thing in two hours!
I did the lighting and the bows :-) I have improvements for how I want to do the Fredericksburg Parade.
Pretty snazzy huh!? I thought the star raised up behind the float was a nice touch.
Rick & Brenda with one of the employees.
Brian and I with the float and our Santa hats!
Brian and I got to sit in the back of the float and throw candy to everyone.
Funny story... We were running low on candy so we had been rationing it. I tossed some towards a couple girls and was waiting to drive further before throwing again... But the three little boys next to them started looking for some. When we didn't toss them some, they got all sad and one kid made this face like "what the heck!" So I threw them some.
Afterwards we went to this amazing restaurant where the deck hangs out over the huge river. It was pretty cool!
The other day Brian and I also attempted to be bakers!
We made a pumpkin roll!
It turned out tasty but had some cracks in it... We aren't sure what we did wrong. But it was consumed within an hour so obviously it was still good. :-)
The pretty slices. :-) you can see the cracks, haha.
Our niece, Allison, helped us make it. She dumped in ingredients and helped me hold the mixer.
In other news...
I started my job as an astronaut!
:-)
Haha, we were going to orientation to the hospitals security and these are what we wear if there is an outbreak of an airborne disease or we work on a patient that has a serious air born disease like TB.
