April 28th - 30th 2017

Brian's Dad used to cater for the BYU track team every year until all his boys on the team graduated. Brian's brother Victor still coaches for the team and one of the head coaches asked if my father in law would be willing to do it again. Of course he said yes, he can't resist a BYU catering job. Brian was out of town but I went over to Provo to try and help.

The catering was after the BYU home track meet. We got to watch Uncle Matt and Uncle Victor pole vault.

Not the comfiest thing to play on but apparently still fun.

Adleigh joined in on the fun as well.

Starving kids all needed a fruit leather.

Tracks have lots of fun equipment to play on.

The morning of the catering job we took the kids to play at the local rec center.

Cold kids after their swim.

We went over to the outdoor track to watch more of the track meet. They were giving out free airbrush  "Y"s for the kids.

Breydon got one very reluctantly but then liked it once it was done.

Happy spectators???

While we were cooking the food, the kids got to play in the indoor track again. I brought Adleigh's new bike because I thought riding on flat ground (instead of our very sloped street) would help her ride better. It worked! She was riding her bike around everywhere!

Uncle Matt came and entertained the kids for a while. Then everyone showed up to eat, I got to help serve them all, and then we spent the rest of the night cleaning up. I about died of exhaustion when it was done.

The next day we had some family time. We played some games and Matt was nice enough to let Adleigh and Breydon play with him.

Then we decided to get out of the tiny apartment and go to a park. The kids made friends with the  ducks.

Breydon continued his love for football and spent most of the time walking around or throwing the ball at people. After the park we went over to a family friends house and had a Cajun Shrimp Boil before Rick headed back to Texas.

    1. Nope, this is one over in South Provo, almost to Springville. The one Dad proposed at looks completely different now, it has a wood walkway around it and it is fenced.
