Brian got offered a new job that wouldn't require us moving to North Dakota like his current job. He had to have his CDL completed before he could start the new job. So Brian quit his old job a week early and we headed to Denver. He knew an instructor for a CDL a class in Denver who said he could shorten the program for him from 10 days to 4 days. So we booked a hotel and the kids and I got to hang out there during the day because Brian had to take the car. But luckily hotels are fun places for kids!
We took the kids to Cabela's and boy was that a letdown compared to the Cabela's near Provo. The kids still had fun so that is all that really matters. |
Our last day, after Brian passed his test (wahoo!), we headed for an all day trip to the Denver Zoo. The kids loved seeing the kitties, just a little kitty obsessed at this house. |
Breydon loved this tank full of blub blubs and turtles. He is seriously turtle obsessed. |
The world's biggest puffer fish, would have been awesome to see him puff up! |
Scariest goose in the whole zoo, lol. It really wanted to eat our food and wouldn't leave us alone. |
Follow the leader. |
After watching the Elephant training. The Elephant Area cost over $50 million to build, pretty crazy! |
Elephant Selfie. Breydon didn't want to join. |
Tried to get a picture on the hippo statue but a wild kid kept jumping on and off... whatever. |
Breydon loved the ride... |
Adleigh picked the hippo to ride on, shocker. |
My monkey watching the baby monkey... ok actually a gorilla but you get the idea. :-) |
Breydon was excited about his bear shirt and then very excited he got to see the bear. |
Adleigh wanted a picture with the lions and she actually smiled really cute for the picture. |
#ILoveDenZoo haha |
Leaving the Zoo selfie. So glamorous. We headed home after that. The kids fell immediately asleep and then woke up an hour before we got home. Needless to say they were up very late that night. |
