A friend in our ward wanted to get some chicks this year but had to order over 15 to have them shipped out here. We decided to split them with her just for fun and I ordered two extra of a breed that I thought would be fun.

| Well our poor chicks went through some tough times thanks to some neighbor girls... one snuck into our house while we were outside and "fed" two of them and they died. Then a few days later while I was out at a park with the kids, the same girl and another girl snuck into our house through the side garage door, into the door into the kitchen and took all the chicks and put them out into the chicken coop, two more died from that. I promised Adleigh we could get some more so we drove to Evanston and picked up a few more. Adleigh named this one Blue Berry. |
