The Dentist and the Airport

We all needed to go to the dentist so we scheduled appointments for the same day we were leaving on a flight for a quick weekend trip to California. Then Brian only had to ask of for one day and his job is actually more inclined to let him off for a Dentist Appointment rather then a vacation (Brian's boss is special and doesn't believe in vacations...). After some drama with Brian's boss forgetting that he had told Brian he could take the time off AND be gone the whole weekend, we drove out late Thursday night to Utah. Our first appointment was at 9 am which was no fun after not getting into Utah until after 2 am.

| Hooked up to the nitrous and the thing on her chest is the sound for the TV. Sadly we found out the hard way the nitrous doesn't affect Adleigh like it does most children. Normally they fall asleep or are totally out of it. Not our Miss Adleigh, she was pissed the moment he stuck her with a needle and while he drilled. She had cavities on both sides of her mouth but the Dentist decided to save the other two cavities for another day since she was so mad. |

| I had one tiny little cavity that on my last trip to the Dentist he told me that he was just going to watch (5 years ago... don't judge we had spent like 6,000 on Brian's teeth and I felt guilty spending anymore money on the Dentist). Luckily I have AMAZING teeth and that was still the only cavity after 5 years. Go me! I haven't had a cavity since maybe high school? It felt really weird to be numb and the texture of the filling still annoys me. |

| After we all were sufficiently numb, well not Breydon, he still only has 10 perfect little teeth, we were off to the airport. We had planned to park in the undercover parking at the airport because we drove our new SUV. But we got there and it was $32 a day! That is highway robbery! So we parked in the budget parking and rode the little bus to the airport. Adleigh was really excited to ride on a bus. |

| So we decided not to check one of our bags because it had a hole in it that I had safety pinned shut... Turns out that was the bag that had all our hygiene stuff in it, whoops. Oh and also a pocket knife because i randomly had a pocket knife in my hygiene bag, makes lots of sense. So we got stopped and had the option to either throw out all my face wash, lotion, acne treatments, etc or run and go check the bag. So Brian ran back and had the bag checked. Luckily we had gotten to the airport faster than expected and had tons of time to kill so it wasn't a big deal. The kids and I just sat next to the security area and played with filters. He got through security much faster than I expected. |

| While we were wandering between the hour that we had between security and boarding the kids saw these pillows and had to have them. Breydon actually could have stolen his, he grabbed it and ran, the lady didn't even notice. My Grandma Jan had given them some Christmas money and Adleigh knew she had money so we let them spend part of it on these. |

| I couldn't find our ipad mini and our 1st Gen ipad will no longer charge... so I had to bring the laptop to easily keep Adleigh entertained. Breydon rotated between all of us until he fell asleep. Adleigh fell asleep right before landing, dang her! |

| Riding another bus to go pick up the car rental. That took forever! The LAX airport is crazy. Then we picked out our rental a little jeep (the guy before us took the last Dodge Charger boo!) and drove the 40 miles out to the Condo in Newport Coast where we were meeting my Aunt Lori. |
