September 2nd - 4th 2016

Brian's parents are in the process of looking for places to buy in the mountains. They fell in love with the tiny town of North Fork. It is located outside of the tiny bit bigger town of Salmon. We decided to  go up and visit them.

We got to Salmon the afternoon of the 2nd, toured around Brian's parent lodge they were staying in, toured a home they were interested in, went and ate at a little local place and found a camping spot. The next morning we woke up and were greeted by some horses and mules right next to our campsite.

Then she got cold and had to huddle up near the fire.

Brian woke up and immediately went fishing. Yes we camped right next to the river and it was awesome.

Adleigh and Kenley loved going and throwing rocks into the river.

Breydon had to have his own muffin for breakfast.

We went and toured another home Rick and Brenda liked. After we went and played some more in the river.

Happy little rock throwing boy.

We went and toured another property they liked. This one was more like a hike through the mountains and we found a wild apple tree, the kids loved it.

Tired boy after playing hard all day. Also I love how crazy his hair got.

The next day Josh hopped into his little blow up boat and decided to float the river. About 5 minutes after he left Corbin got a hook accidentally stuck deep in his finger by his sister. It was a bit rough. Luckily Brian had wire cutters and I knew to push it through rather than pull it out. So he survived, I think it was more rough on Sarah than Corbin.

Sadly Brenda got a call that her Grandma had just passed away at 99 years old. The funeral would be in 3 days so Brian's parents had to drive back to Texas that day in order to make the funeral. We decided to follow them down so we could go to the funeral as well. So we packed up and spent a little time at the river before starting the drive home.

More rock throwing.

Such a happy crazy haired dude.

Papaw bought all the kids stuffed animals to remember the trip, Adleigh named her wolf Cujo. Also notice how she and the wolf are wet? She was jumping on rocks and we told her she would fall in but she ignored us... she fell in. Crazy girl.

Breydon picked out a ram well mostly sister picked it out for him.

We stopped at Josh and Sarah's on the drive to drop their stuff off that we had in our truck for them. As we were unloading we blocked the boys off with the sleeping pads, they were not thrilled.

Next we headed home to go pack for the drive down to Texas. About and hour and a half from Josh's house our check engine light came on we thought it was weird but kept driving. Then we stop at a stoplight in Montpelier Idaho and our truck shut off. We couldn't get it started and a nice man in a jeep pulled us over to a gas station. Brian was out trying to figure out what was going on. Another man came over and told Brian he knew what was going on. Turns out one of our fuel lines had busted open and fuel could no longer make it in. Luckily the guy had family right down the road with a welder. He towed us down there and about two hours late had the line patched. His family was so nice and let the kids play around and even fed us dinner. After that adventure we decided to not drive down to Texas because we didn't trust our truck to make it down there. :-(
