July 22nd 2016

Once upon a time my sister decided to get married in California we found super cheap tickets to fly out there. However Southwest decided to have a major malfunction the day we were supposed to get on a plane and fly out there. My Mikesell Grandparents got stuck in LAX for hours, then got flown to San Jose where luckily my Dad was able to drive 3 hour there just to get them. My Mom got stuck in San Diego and played the daughter getting married card to make it to Sacramento. We had a layover in Phoenix and slowly watched it get more and more delayed. We were worried that if our first flight wasn't cancelled then our second flight would be and we would end up stranded in Phoenix at midnight. We finally decided to just drive out to Sacramento rather than risk getting stranded. Turns out we made the right choice because both of our flights ended up being cancelled . So we would have been having to drive out there anyway but leaving at 10pm instead of 2pm.

Our kids actually did fabulous on the drive out there. We left at the perfect time, Breydon started napping about an hour into the drive. He woke up and was happy for a while, then when he got cranky we stopped for dinner. Then he was fine for a while and got cranky and fell asleep. Adleigh was happy to watch movies and play on the iPad. The last 30 minutes, before we got to the cabin where we were staying, both kids started crying. We were on back country dirt road so we pulled them out and they survived the last little bit. :-)

The next morning came way too early. Breydon didn't go back to sleep until 2am. Brian entertained himself  cutting a sexy beard for pictures. :-)

The kids got to hang out with a lady from Beth's husband's ward while we got to go to the sealing. They survived!

We also forgot to pack Breydon's white shirt so luckily my sister Marah was kind enough to find to several stores trying to find a plain white shirt. We also had another outfit disaster when Adleigh's grey shirt didn't come in the mail. All the other shirts I ordered came before we left for the wedding except for the grey shirt... So we had to find her something as well. The shirt we found ended up being a 2T but it was literally the only thing that would have worked. Wedding Fun!

The cute cousins and their matching moccasins! Those also have a fun back story. I ordered them back in February and sent the lady the sizes and told her to make them all 1 size bigger since the wedding would be much later and feet would probably grow. The end of June rolled around and I still didn't have the moccasins and couldn't get a hold of the seller. I finally contacted Etsy and then she sent them to me. Luckily we had planned on all of Megan's kids coming because the seller failed to make them a size bigger so all the kids present moved up into the older cousin's shoes.

Dapper Dude!

My sweet kiddos!

The kids got a little bored waiting for Beth and Y to come out of the temple. Luckily the fountain was very entertaining.

All eyes on the bride... I mean all eyes on the dramatic 3 year old who didn't want to leave the fountain to take pictures.

The whole group! Notice Breydon's lovely photo bomb.

The Mikesell family shot sans Grandma Jan who had issues getting to the temple on time.

The sister shot!

The most important parts of the wedding :-)

Breydon got bored and ripped the fake succulent of his moccasins. They were only hot glued on... thanks moccasin lady.

Grandma Jan finally made it and we took a much better and much less sunny family shot.

After all the pictures were taken we introduced all the Grandparents and my parents to our favorite restaurant BJ's. Breydon enjoyed his one on one time with Grandpa Russell.

The reception was outside and the kids headed straight for the dirty area.

We had some truck battles between the two boys.

Adleigh took a break from the dirt to show us some dance moves.

Brian loves when I take pictures of him.

Grandma Danice ripped down some of Beth's decorations to please my balloon loving son. Luckily Beth loves Breydon more than her balloons. :-)

Happy balloon boy.

Aldeigh convincing Daddy that she needs one of Breydon's balloons.

She got the balloon and got to dance with Daddy.

Breydon got his favorite tractor to help keep the peace. :-)

Brian and I got to dance a little bit as well.

Grandma and the girls!

Brian took Grandpa Bud's place in the couples dance.

Then we had a catastrophe and Adleigh let go of her balloon and she wanted her balloon not any of the other balloons people tried to give her.

But flying high in the sky always makes her happy!

My dirty little boy survived the wedding!
