April 9th - 13th 2016

After a disastrous flight coming back from Christmas in Maryland we were given free flight vouchers from Southwest. We decided that the kids needed a trip to Texas to hang out with their cousins down there. The plan was to fly to Dallas and then head down to San Antonio but my Father in Law bought tickets to go to Utah while we were supposed to be at his house. So we changed our tickets and flew down a few weeks early to Austin.

Trying to keep Breydon from crawling on the nasty carpet and Adleigh found a tv to watch so she was in heaven.

Trying to keep a busy body happy on a plane is very very very exhausting. Good thing he is cute!

Airplane selfie!

We had to switch planes in Phoenix which ended up being quite traumatic for Adleigh. She was sure that Papaw was waiting for us at the Phoenix airport and did not want to get on another plane. She had a huge meltdown through the whole airport and all the way up until we boarded. Awesome.  But then passed out while we were still on the tarmac which was pretty nice. Brendan then took over the role of angry child. He wanted to be out crawling around. Luckily I had lots of fruit snacks to mostly pacify him. We were stuck next to a snotty lady who barely made the flight. She texted her friend about how I was a terrible mother for stuffing my 6 month old child full of fruit snacks. I totally wanted to punch her! Firstly, he is 11 months old and secondly I was just trying to keep him from screaming and pissing you off more. Rant over... Needless to say I am not looking forward to flying alone again.

The next day made the flight totally worth it! Adleigh loved getting to see all her cousins again.

Breydon loved meeting the bottle calf named Molly and Molly liked eating his fingers.

Adleigh loved Molly too!

Adleigh trying to keep up with the older kids. They are 4 and 5.

Cousin movie time.

Feeding Molly became a daily "chore" for us.

I'm totally old enough to drive this!

Breydon is channelling his inner calf. We had to go buy him some dark colored shirts because he was destroying all his light colored shirts.

Breydon got really got at playing corn hole with himself. He loved to throw the bean bag in the hole over and over.
