February 12th - 14th 2016

So we had a pure genius idea of going camping the weekend of Valentines. It was over 50 degrees in Green River and most of the snow had melted so we figured Utah would be warmer and invited Brian's brother and his family to go with us. Boy were we wrong. We found one campground where it wasn't snowed in but a herd of boy scouts were there so we tried a few other spots and ended up in Sundance. We found a trail that we thought lead to the campground, nope. It was a huge snowmobiling trail and our truck sunk down in the snow and then Kevin's SUV sunk down as well. 3 hours and one very pissed off cop later we were able to free the vehicles. Turns out they don't appreciate trucks driving on snowmobiling trails. Luckily there were no posted signs that it was a snowmobiling trail and there were tracks from a previous vehicle so the cop realized we had done it innocently and he let us off with a stern lecture. Needless to say we did not end up camping and spent the night at Kevin's.

The next day we all decided to head up to Cabela's and Scheels to let the kids run around and see all the cool stuff. Stupid us, didn't check the traffic before we left and ended up in bumper to bumper traffic for almost two hours (Instead of just 20 mins) thanks to a major wreck about 5 minutes before the Cabela's exit. The 3 hour drive to Provo, plus 3 hours stuck in the snow stuck truck plus this extra two hours was the icing on the cake for my poor kids. We also had planned on eating  at Cabela's so we were all starving. It was awesome. We finally got to Cabela's and let the kids run wild! Adleigh pretty much just wanted to be with the fish.

Containing the two littles in the cart. This did not last long since Breydon kept standing up and trying to bail.

We ended up getting there late enough that it was only a little wait before they feed the fish in the big tank. It is pretty cool to watch and we made sure the kids had front row seats! Adleigh loved having Konner to run around with.

We decided to not go to Scheel's since it was so late and headed back to Kevin's house. Their living room was a disaster zone thanks to them storing all our camping stuff in their living room. The kids had a blast playing on it though!

Hank was also in doggy heaven! The kids had a blast playing fetch with him in the house. We headed back that night because Brian wanted to make it back to go to our church because he is a much better person than I am. :-)

Sunday was Valentine's day and this handsome stud was dressed in his best... well except his shoes we really need to get the poor kid some shoes!

My toothless little due! He was not cooperating with sitting down for pictures.

His sister was not cooperating either!

At least they love each other!

Beautiful little Valentine!

Then we had a little disaster... Adleigh decided she needed to open a box with a knife. She went to the kitchen, pulled over a chair and grabbed a knife while we were occupied in the other room. We heard her scream and she had ended up getting herself in the eye with the knife. Luckily it missed her eyeball! Needless to say the knives are now hidden.

Happy First Valentine's Day to this little dude! And yes Brian and I didn't take a picture together because we are freaking awesome...
