Boom Town Minithon & Fishing

Brian has started running with a local running club to get back into his regular running schedule. One of the guys from the club was responsible for organizing a local 5k called the Boom Town Minithon. Brian decided to run in it and was hoping to beat the kid who had beat him in the Jingle Bell 5k.
Brian destroyed everyone and finished the race almost 2 minutes ahead of the next person!
Adleigh woke up just in time for us to speed walk it down to the end of the race... thus the pj's.
Adleigh enjoyed the free snacks they gave to the runners and kept taking Brian back to get more.
The guy who organized the race gave Adleigh a leftover medal from the year before. She was pretty proud of herself.
Brian getting his medal.
Yay for 1st place!
The only picture I got of Brian wearing his medal... Yeah I am a slacker. I plead pregnancy brain.
Later that day we decided to take our friend out fishing. There are tons of tanks aka man made ponds out on the land that our work leases out. So we decided to go try our luck fishing one of them.

Adleigh was quite comfortable out there and I couldn't keep shoes on that child!
Rosco loved the water as well!
Cy fishing with Brian and Ken in the background. Ken was following Brian everywhere.
Adleigh decided to try her hand at fishing.
Callee was really good at helping all the kids... I was really good at being a fat lazy prego woman.
Adleigh would have nothing to do with the fish that she caught.
But she did really enjoy raiding the tackle box! We didn't catch anything worth keeping but all of the kids caught something so I count it as a successful fishing trip!

Adleigh earned her medal for the most post race snacks! I love the fishing pictures. Can't blame Adleigh for not touching the fish. I refuse to take them off the hook! Love that you have such great "ward family" friends.
