See you later Cali!

You have cruelly mistreated us!

Instead of blue skies and warm sunshine, we got gray skies and freezing winds. :-(

I was worried that Brian and I were going to get massively sunburned on this trip. But good old mother nature saved us from that! Our sunscreen sat at the bottom of our bag untouched.

We did as much as we could to enjoy Cali.

We went to eat some fresh sea food at the Crab Cooker. Brian made me eat calamari. Yuck.

Then we walked out on the pier and watched the millions of people fishing off the pier.

I then made Brian, Jake and Sabra run with me down to the beach, even though it was night.

Cuz you can't be that close to the beach and not walk in the sand or play in the water... It wouldn't be right! Even if it is night time.

After our cruise we were hoping to spend that day basking on the beach, soaking up the rays... But no... Cloudy skies both Friday and today.

I think we are one of the few people who can spend a week in Cali and on a Mexican cruise and come back whiter than before.

Brian and I made the most of it by walking the beach and picking up sea shells.

Brian found the biggest one and the prettiest one, jerk. ;-)

Then my Aunt Lori picked us up and took us on a tour of Orange County. We drove along PCH, saw the Newport Temple, saw more fancy cars than we could count and saw all the cute beach towns.

We were then spoiled with a yummy dinner at the Bluefish Grill. It's right on the fisherman docks and serves yummy fresh fish.

Then we were treated to a yummy shake at Ruby's a 50's style diner.

Today we planned to go boogey boarding... But mother nature thwarted us again!

Brian and I attempted to go in but the cold water and cold winds made it no bueno. So we just tried to throw each other in... Luckily Brian didn't try to hard or I would have been soaked.

Now we are headed back... Partying with Emily and James!

We are rocking our recently purchased hand made Mexican BYU bands... Getting pumped to watch the BYU vs Utah game!! Go Cougars!

Look for our upcoming update about our cruise! I'll give you a teaser photo...

That may or may not be some medical marijuana that we found in our room in the pocket of our robe! And we may have or may not have hidden it in Jake's luggage... And freaked them out a bit. :-)

  1. That's a bummer about the weather. Although sometimes is just nice to get away even if it's not the best weather. Can't wait to hear about the cruise.
